Manchester City Women’s manager Gareth Taylor said he was ‘disappointed’ with his sides 2-2 derby day draw. City led 2-0 at half time but were pegged back with 15 minutes to go. “We were in control in the first half, bossed the game. We could’ve been 3 or 4 goals up at half time.”
When asked about his sides 2nd half performance Taylor said “We didn’t implement are game enough, they scored a goal from nothing and they looked dangerous from set-plays with their deliveries and we looked a little vulnerable. It feels like two points dropped especially with the position we were in.”
City dominated in the 1st half and commanded their 2 two goal lead; Taylor was asked if his side could’ve seen the game out. “You never win a game in the first half, 2-0 is a funny score line we need to see it out a little longer”
Taylor spoke to the BT Sport camera’s after his side made it five games unbeaten with today’s derby day draw. “I’ve been really pleased with our performances; we just need to keep doing it on a regular basis.”
