Home   /   Match Report: Norwich City 0-0 Queens Park Rangers

Norwich City are now with two wins in their last 10 Championship games after drawing 0-0 with Queens Park Rangers at Carrow Road on Wednesday night.

Teemu Pukki had the first half’s best chance in the 18th minute after his original effort was blocked but his second effort came back off the very inside of the post.

Pukki could have opened the scoring four minutes before, but his close-range effort was just tipped over the bar by Seny Dieng.

Gabriel Sara also had an effort saved by Dieng 10 minutes in after a neat exchange between himself and Sam McCallum.

QPR had their best chance of the game just after the hour mark after substitute Chris Willock saw his effort strike the post and Lyndon Dykes headed effort on the rebound was saved by Angus Gunn.

Norwich came close to winning the game late on as with three minutes left Onel Hernandez found himself one-on-one with Dieng, but the goalkeeper turned his effort away for a corner.

Grant Hanley came agonisingly close to winning the game with the last kick from a corner, but his effort also hit the post after six minutes of added time.

The result means both sides stay in fourth and fifth position in the Championship, the Canaries just two points off QPR after playing 18 games.
