Tonights Ligue 1 match is between Monaco vs PSG at the at the Stade Louis II. The visitors tonight are five point clear at the top of the table in Ligue 1 where Monaco are in 6th place at the moment after winning their last two games. PSG have won their last five Ligue 1 games by a goal margin by three plus goals.

In Monaco’s last game before the international break they beat Nice 2-1.

Monaco will be missing their club captain Ben Yedder as he tested positive for COVID-19 during the week. Willem Geubbels will be playing instead of Ben Yedder the 19 year old will hoping to make a big impact for his side. Monaco have made two more changes to their side from their side that beat Nice last time out with Chrislain Matsima and Fodé Ballo-Touré in for Ruben Aguilar and Caio Henrique Oliveira Silva. Monaco are unbeaten in their last eight home games.

Mbappé is playing against his old side tonight.

Mbappé is back in the side after missing the not playing in PSG’s last game. PSG have made four changes to their side with Layvin Kurzawa, Pablo Sarabia, Rafinha and Danilo Pereira in the side with Alessandro Florenzi, Ander Herrera, Leandro Paredes, Idrissa Gueye and Thilo Kehrer out the side. PSG will be hoping to be the first side to win six games in a row by a goal margin of three plus goals.

The game has kicked off in the Stade Louis II.

Min 3: Moise Kean had a chance early on after a mistake from Vito Mannone losing the ball in the penalty area but couldn’t get a shot off.

Min 5: A lot of the play early on is in the Monaco half as PSG are looking to take control early on in the game.

Mbappé is taking on 18 year old Chrislain Matsima.

Min 8: Sofiane Diop takes Monaco’s first shot of the game which he dragged it wide.

Min 9: Free kick outside of the PSG box after a Pereira gave away a free kick for handball.

Min 10: Free kick taken by Kevin Volland was saved by Keylor Navas.

Min 14: Monaco being the underdogs in the game are looking good in the game as they are keeping the ball well and making it difficult for the league leaders.

Min 18: Di Maria took a long shot after Mbappé was able to get past a few players but Di Maria’s shot went wide.

Kean unable to take advantage of the chance he had in the early few minutes.

Min 20: YELLOW CARD. Pereira gets a booking due to a late challenge on Aurélien Tchouaméni

Min 23: Youssouf Fofana takes a long shot for his side but he drags it wide of the goal.

Min 25: GOAL FOR PSG. Mbappé scores against his old side after running onto a through ball from Di Maria where Mbappé out paces the Monaco defence and smashes the ball into the top corner.

Min 29: Monaco is looking good tonight but they are missing the final end product as Gelson Martins shot goes miles wide.

Min 30: PSG had a chance from a counter attack where Mbappé was running at the Monaco defence and tried to find Kean but he pass didn’t go to his teamate.

Min 31: Martins showed good creativity and but in a good cross but Volland didn’t have to movement to score the goal.

Min 32: Poor play from Kurzawa as he almost gifted a goal to Monaco from a poor attempted pass to Navas in the PSG goal but Geubbels wasn’t able to finish the chance.

Min 35: PENALTY FOR PSG. Rafinha wins a penalty for PSG after a late challenge from Fofana who get a YELLOW CARD for his poor challenge in his sides penalty area.

Min 36: GOAL FOR PSG. Mbappé smashes the ball into the right corner. Mannone went the right way but didn’t get anyway near the ball after a brilliant penalty from Mbappé who scores his second goal of the night to make it 2-0 to his side.

Min 39: VAR check for PSG as they may have scored another goal. This time it is Kean who put the ball in the net but the linesman put his flag up. Poor from the Monaco defence who was lazy in defence and Kean ran on and put the ball in the net but the goal didn’t count.

Min 40: No goal VAR ruled that the linesman decision was right but it looked like Kean was in line with the Monaco defence.

The two PSG strikers has been causing big problems for the Monaco defence tonight.

Min 43: GOAL FOR PSG. Mbappé has scored a hat trick after Diallo put him through on goal and the youngster finished the chance to score his hat trick. VAR is checking the goal for offside.

Min 44: Mbappé’s hat trick goal has been disallowed for offside after Kean his the bar for PSG. The away side are dominating things at the moment.

Half time in the Stade Louis II PSG are completely dominating the game with Mbappé running wild scoring two and having one goal disallowed. Kean has also had a goal disallowed and the two young players are causing problems for the Monaco defence. Monaco looked good in the early stages of the game with a lot of the young players but PSG took complete control of the game.

Substitution at half time for Monaco with Cesc Fàbregas and Caio Henrique on for Geubbels and Touré

The second half has started with Monaco kicking off

Min 47: First chance in the second half went to Di Maria with a free kick but put the ball over the bar.

Min 49: Another long shot for Monaco which flew over the bar. They have been very wasteful tonight.

Min 50: Volland almost second twice in quick succession which produced two saves from Navas at his near post. The subs for Monaco at half time seems to be working at the moment.

Min 52: GOAL FOR MONACO. Volland scores for Monaco after the ball deflected to him inside the penalty area and was able to take advantage of the chance that was presented to him. Monaco are back now in the game.

Min 56: Fàbregas has been in control of the game since he has came on for his side and Monaco has been playing well in the second half.

Min 60: Substitution for PSG with Neymar on for Di Maria.

Volland’s goal has got Monaco back in the game.

Min 63: Chance for Kean after a low driven cross from Kurzawa but his shot went wide.

Min 66: GOAL FOR MONACO. Monaco has equalised with a beautiful team goal where it was finished off by Volland who has scored his second goal of the game. Fàbregas gets the assist for the goal after a brilliant pass from Tchouaméni.

Min 68: Neymar free kick saved by Mannone. First shot for the most expensive player.

Min 69: Substitutions for PSG with Mitchel Bakker, Kays Ruiz-Atil and Leandro Paredes on for Mbappé, Pereira and Kurzawa off.

Volland’s two goals mean Monaco will be getting a point as things stand.

Min 74: Chance for Monaco to take the lead with Volland and Fàbregas but they couldn’t convert the chance.

Min 78: Sarabia had a chance for PSG after the ball bounced off Kean and he took a shot which was save by Mannone

Min 81: PENALTY FOR MONACO. Big mistake from Diallo losing the ball to Volland and pulling him down for a penalty and getting a yellow card.

Min 82: RED CARD for Diallo after a VAR check for stopping a goal scoring opportunity.

Min 84: GOAL FOR MONACO. Fàbregas has completed the comeback for his side with a penalty that he smashed into the top corner. He has been brilliant in the second half.

Min 85: Substitution for PSG with Rafinha off for Florenzi.

Full time: The game has finished in Monaco with the home side completing a brilliant second half comeback after being 2-0 down at half time. The introduction in the second half of Fàbregas changed his sides fortunes. PSG will be disappointed in his sides performance in the second half with a big Champions League game in the week against RB Leipzig. Thomas Tuchel knows he will need to win in the week to keep his job.
