Detroit Lions
Despite going 3-12-1, last year’s Detroit Lions weren’t a bad team at all. Matt Stafford started the season on fire before his injury after week nine. After that, the Lions had to make do with David Blough and Jeff Driskel and lost their final eight games, securing the number three overall pick. This season is a big one for head coach, Matt Patricia who is on the hot seat and playoffs are the aim for him in his third year in Detroit. That shouldn’t be out of the question, especially if Stafford stays healthy, but ultimately, there are many teams who will be gunning for one of those wild card spots with them who are better suited to a playoff push.
Star Player: Kenny Golladay, Wide Receiver
Key Addition: DeAndre Swift, Running Back
Record: 7-9. Unfortunately, the Lions aren’t on the same level as their division rival Vikings and Packers so won’t be a playoff team. I can’t see Patricia still being in Detroit in 2021.
