Los Angeles Chargers
Despite only going 5-11 last season, the Chargers still have one of the best defences in the league. Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram make a dangerous edge rush pairing, whilst the secondary contains four former pro bowlers. The offence is in much worse shape, however. The offensive line was a disaster last year, and though it’s improved, it will still be a big weakness. The quarterback position is also a big question mark. The last time we saw starter, Tyrod Taylor, he struggled for the Cleveland Browns before getting injured and permanently losing his job to Baker Mayfield. Rookie, Justin Herbert has promise, but this season is too early for him to be effective in the NFL.
Star Player: Joey Bosa, Edge Rusher
Key Addition: Kenneth Murray, Linebacker
Record: 6-10. An elite defence won’t be enough to mask the problems on offence, so six wins seems to be about right.
