Tottenham and Arsenal still have their horns tightly locked, even after Tottenahm’s 3-0 battering of Arsenal. With 2 games left, Arsenal currently sit in 5th place on 66 points, whilst Tottenham, currently in 4th place with 68 points but have only one game left.
If Arsenal win both of their remaining games they will claim that illustrious 4th place and the Champions League prize that comes with it, whilst Spurs will be playing in the Europa League next season. Arsenal still have to face an in-form Newcastle side, who are well clear of the relegation following their early season struggles, and an Everton side who are very much at risk of being relegated. Both games will be a struggle for Arteta’s men as they look to get back on track following their humiliation by Spurs.
Spurs will be relying on a favour from either Newcastle or Everton if they are to finish 4th, they face , already relegated. Norwich on the final day, a favourable tie as they are without a win in their last 6 games, but they are surely excited by the prospect of being party poopers and stopping Spurs from reaching Europe.
I am backing Tottenham to finish in 4th sport because I think Arsenal will be tripped up by either Newcastle or Everton and that will be fatal in their hopes of fourth as I think Spurs will comfortable dispose of Norwich.
