The End SARS protests against police brutality in Nigeria took a serious turn on October 20th when peaceful protestors, gathered at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos, where fired upon with live rounds by armed police.
According to Amnesty International at least 12 people were killed.
This development led to Manchester United’s Nigerian forward Odion Ighalo to record a message for Twitter on the pitch at the Parc des Princes after United’s Champions League match against Paris Saint Germain.
