Marseille dominated Spurs for the entirety of the first half and got what they deserved in the form of a bullet header from Chancel Mbemba. It was the quick thinking from Amine Harit playing a short corner to Jordan Veretout that started the move and Veretout whipped a pinpoint cross to the centre-back who was unmarked at the back post.

Alexis Sanchez had chances to extend their lead when they were 1-0 up but he failed on two attempts with Hugo Lloris besting him with a few world class saves, meaning they finish rock bottom of the group, despite sitting in first place an hour ago.
