It was a disastrous afternoon for Brighton in a forgetful derby at the AMEX as they lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace this afternoon, handing them their first loss against their bitter rivals in seven matches in the league.
The Eagles scored two goals in quick succession in the first half to give them a comfortable early lead.
Palace started off slowly but became more settled in as time went on and they converted their first real opportunity of the match with a shot from close range by defender Trevoh Chalobah following a corner in the 27th minute.

Just six minutes later the Eagles struck again with Tyrick Mitchell placing a pinpoint cross in at the back post which floated right on to the head of Ismaila Sarr who directed it towards the far post and in.

A massive result for Oliver Glasner and Crystal Palace.
