Was there room for more goals? Possibly. Seagull calls turned into boos with the closing half of the game souring with uncalled fouls. But the blue-clad fans returned home happy with an important victory in their pockets.

The Seagulls were heavy on the attack during the opening minutes, controlling the game since the offset. Janina Leitzig put up a good fight but was no match for Parris who scored the opening goal just 19 minutes into game time, marking her third consecutive goal for the team.

Leicester struggled to respond as Brighton dominated possession. With seven attempts, Brighton’s defense was equally strong, preventing the Foxes from a single shot attempt in the first half. As the half ended, Brighton, led by Parris kept pushing to extend their lead.

Their lead didn’t stop Brighton’s efforts, putting on a fabulous show for the spectators.

The Foxes’ attempt to make an impact in the second half was further wounded with Sam Tierney being taken off the field on a stretcher after picking up a serious injury. The LCFC’s injury-plagued season only getting worse.

LCFC tried to save their chances in the final minutes, but victory was sealed for the women in blue.
