Under-pressure Russell Martin admitted the Southampton owners are “frustrated” with their start to the season.
“No-one is happy we have not won yet.” he said. Southampton are currently 19th without a win this season and tomorrow they face Arsenal who are currently 15 games unbeaten.

To make matters worse, they are winless in their last 24 visits to the Emirates. However, Arsenal have failed to beat the Saints in their last three attempts, including a 3-3 draw in 2022/23.
Arteta remains undecided as to whether Jurrien Timber and Ben White will feature in tomorrow’s match; he said: “there’s a decision to make this afternoon, whether to involve them or not.”
Martin has said they’ve “drawn a line in the sand” after an FA hearing has banned his captain Jack Stephens for a further two matches.
Arsenal could go top with a win if Liverpool drop points against Crystal Palace, however Arteta has insisted his side aren’t focusing on any kind of title race.
He said: “It is super early but you can feel the tension and importance of each match.”
