The Saints are winless so far with only one point from their 6 league games following promotion. He has been hit with yet another curveball as defender Jack Stephens was served with a two-game ban after delivering foul language towards an official, speaking about the incident Martin said: “He (Jack Stephens) admitted his mistake, you have to accept everything, he’s frustrated with himself and we’re frustrated not to have him to help us.”
Meanwhile Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has had to deal with a lot more squad rotation than usual after his side has been struck by injuries in the early stages of the season, the most notable of these being captain Martin Odegaard.
Addressing the condition of his skipper Arteta said: “The impact Martin (Odegaard) has is difficult to replicate with just one player. We’ve had to be different and adapt a few things.” Arsenal are currently 3rd in the table and are still undefeated in the league this season.
Prediction: Arsenal 3-0 Southampton
