Girona will look to return to winning ways as they travel to Cadiz today, who themselves are unbeaten at home so far this campaign.
Girona suffered their first defeat of the season last weekend, losing 3-0 at home to Real Madrid. Prior to that game, they sat at the top of La Liga, having amassed 19 points from their opening seven games.
However, fans of Los Albirrojos may have been worried to hear the injury news ahead of the game, with the number of players in the treatment room up to six, after star winger Viktor Tsyhankov was forced off at half time against Real Madrid.
Cadiz have also started their season solidly, with two wins and three draws putting them in 12th ahead of today’s game. Despite this, they are winless in the last four, picking up just two points in that time.
Like Girona, Cadiz come into this game having conceded three goals to a team from Madrid, having lost 3-2 to Atletico last weekend.
Central defender Fali had to be substituted in the first half against Atletico, and so he could be a doubt. Roger, who was also substituted early, hasn’t even made the 23-man squad for Girona’s visit.
