Ex-Roma manager Claudio Ranieri will be welcoming his old club at the Unipol Domus in a must win game. Cagliari have endured their worst-ever start to a Serie A campaign only scoring 2 goals and sitting rock bottom on 2 points. The struggle for goals for Gli Isolani coincides with the injury to their key marksman Gianluca Lapadula, who has been out this season with an ankle injury. A win against a lacklustre Roma could be the catalyst needed to kickstart their season and jump out of the relegation zone. Zito Luvumbo will be the one to watch with the Anglolan claiming both league goals this season.

But wins against other newly promoted club Frosinone and Servette in the Europa league seem to have changed fortunes for the Giallorossi. Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku has scored in back to back games and will be hungry to continue his goalscoring form with the manager who signed him for over £80 million in 2017. A win would take the capital club into a top 10 spot if other results go their way but a winless run of 7 on the road will the pressure rise for Jose Mourinho, reportedly at risk of being sacked if a loss is tallied this weekend.
