The Green Falcons seek a way through the World Cup knockout stage as they will face Mexico in their last group fixture at Lusail Iconic Stadium. The Saudi Arabian team started their World Cup 2022 campaign in Qatar with a stunning victory against title contenders Argentina. However, their second match didn’t go well as they lost to Poland and, as a result, they need to defeat Mexico to secure their place in the round of 16. Nevertheless, they would still have chances of progression in case of drawing tonight; but it completely depends on the Argentina vs Poland match result. On the other side, Mexico, who started the tournament with a draw against Poland, didn’t manage to add on to their points in the match versus Argentina, and are currently placed fourth in the group table. Therefore, Mexican team have no other choice than defeating Saudi Arabia if they want to keep their World Cup hopes alive.
