Brighton Women prepare to face West Ham Women at 12:30 pm in Saturday’s early kick-off at the Amex Stadium.
The Seagulls will aim to bounce back after a heavy 5-0 defeat to Arsenal in their last outing.
Despite that, they have enjoyed a strong start to the season, sitting 3rd in the table with 13 points from seven games. A victory on Saturday could help them close the gap to second-placed Chelsea, who play league leaders Manchester City later today.
West Ham head to Brighton in poor form, with just one win in their last five games and none coming away from home this season. Sitting only two points above the relegation zone, they will hope top scorer Rico Ueki can help them secure a much-needed victory.
Brighton are likely to stick with their 3-at-the-back formation, which has allowed wing-back Poppy Pattinson to flourish as their top assister this season. Nikita Parish is also expected to start, having scored three goals in seven appearances and chasing City’s Khadija Shaw in the race for the golden boot.
The last meeting between these teams ended in a 0-0 draw on March 31. Both sides will hope for a more decisive result as title races and relegation battles start to take shape.
