Brighton prepare to host a struggling Southampton side with a win set to push the Seagulls up to second in the table.
Fabian Hurzeler’s men are unbeaten at the Amex this season and victory against the Saints would equal a club record of three consecutive victories in the Premier league.
Conversely Southampton have won just once all season and are rooted to the bottom of the table. Another defeat for the Saints would see them slump to 10 consecutive top flight defeats away from home for the first time since 1974.
The Seagulls are expecting to start with an attacking trident of Kaoru Mitoma, Jao Pedro and Georgina Rutter with Danny Welbeck leading the line. The Ex-England international arrives in great form having been involved in six goals in his last five premier league games. A goal against the Saints would see Welbeck equal Pascal Gross’ Premier League club record of 30 goals.

Leading goalscorer Adam Armstrong is expected to start upfront and a fine performance last week from teenage talent Tyler Dibling could see him take a starting spot in the midfield.
