Season of Strikes: Thousands of University Workers Strike Again Over Wages
Thousands of UNISON university are taking industrial action for second time this term and will see at least 19 institutions affected.
Due to the cost-of-living crisis and inflation rapidly rising, staff are pushing for a pay rise of 2% above inflation which takes into account current living pressures.
The workers who are amongst the lowest paid in the higher education sector took the decision to strike after rejecting a 3% pay rise back in May.
