After being a goal behind inside five minutes, South Korea fought back to win 2-1 against Portugal and book their place in the knockout phase of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

After the match, South Korea captain Son Heung-min was full of praise for his side’s performance.
‘It is amazing, amazing, I have never experienced this emotion before’ Son told the media in a post-match interview.
‘It was an amazing feeling and at the same time I’m extremely proud of this team performance’.
South Korea face tournament favourites Brazil on Monday evening in their round of 16 tie.
Embed from Getty ImagesIn his post-match press conference, Portugal manager Fernando Santos was asked about Cristiano Ronaldo’s substitution and the reaction of his captain when leaving the field.
‘Have I already watched the footage? Yes. I didn’t like it. I didn’t like it at all’ said Santos.
‘From there, it’s things you sort out internally, it was sorted out this way, and now we think about the next game’.
Portugal face Group G runners-up Switzerland on Tuesday evening in their round of 16 tie.
