Three Bridges travel to the AMEX stadium tonight to face Brighton and Hove Albion.
Brighton U21 coach Shannon Ruth said earlier this week that “we want to try and get our players playing there as often as possible, hopefully before their (senior) debuts, so their debut is not such a shock in terms of the stadium and playing there.
The Sussex Senior Cup is a really good opportunity for us to do that and get our young players on the pitch there.”
Fielding a side involving a number 18-year-olds including Tate Ferdinand and Matthew Hayden, Ruth’s ambition will be in full swing as they face Isthmian South East league champions Three Bridges.
From Crawley, the Bridges have punched well above their weight this season and will be looking to make their mark on Sussex Senior Cup history. Noel Leighton captains as Jamie Crellin’s side will look to give themselves even more momentum going forward to the Isthmian Premier League.
