Week nine’s TNF game sees an all-AFC clash as the Houston Texans (6-2) fly north to face the New York Jets (2-6) at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Embed from Getty ImagesThe Texans QB CJ Stroud has been outstanding since being drafted second overall in the 2023 Draft. So far this season, he has thrown for 1948 yards with 177 completions from 266 attempts with a completion percentage of 66.5%. He has 11 touchdowns with only four interceptions.
The Texans currently sit atop of the AFC South division and are the number two seed in the AFC Conference, which will give them a home game in the first round of the playoffs.
Their opponents, the New York Jets are sat bottom of the AFC East, and are on a five-game losing streak, that has seen the Jets fire coach Robert Saleh after their game in London against the Minnesota Vikings in week five.
Embed from Getty ImagesNew head coach Jeff Ulbrich was given the role on an interim basis but not a lot has changed for the Jets. Even trading for WR Davante Adams for their QB Aaron Rodgers, who played with Adams in Green Bay has not seen a change in fortunes.
Although the stats say otherwise, the Jets QB Aaron Rodgers does not seem to be firing at the moment. He has 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He has thrown for 1896 yards with 175 completions from 284 attempts with a completion percentage of 61.4%.
Prediction – There is no end to the losing streak of the Jets as the Texans win this one 24-13.
