Brighton manager Dario Vidosic was left “very disappointed” as his side drew 0-0 at home to Leicester on Sunday.
The Seagulls earned a point from the draw but lost 4-3 on penalties to the Foxes which saw the away side claim the extra point that was up for grabs.
“I just think the performance wasn’t there really in any aspect.”
“I think at times we defended well, defended the box not too bad.”
“Probably overall performance wise there were small glimpses that were okay but for the majority of the game we weren’t there today,” Vidosic said

“I think probably just a little lack of intensity, we made a lot of technical errors tonight, we had passes that could get us out, we would miss them, some really simple turnovers and that probably just stopped us getting a little bit of rhythm,” said Vidosic.
Brighton face red-hot Chelsea when they return to action after the international break, an encounter the South Coast side will be keen for.
“it’s one we’re excited for… we wanted to test ourselves against the best, they’re by far the best, they’re undefeated… it’s a fantastic challenge.”
“we’ll dust ourselves off, learn from tonight and see what we can do when we get back to work,” said Vidosic

“I think at this point any point is good, so we’ll take the two”
“I think in the game we could’ve got more if we had scored one at least but we didn’t,” said Miquel
“Well, we did but it didn’t count,” Miquel added as Saori Takarda’s second half goal was ruled out for offside.
Miquel praised her side’s determination to right their previous wrongs, after losing 1-0 at the Broadfield Stadium earlier this month.
“We worked all week to be better than last time and suffer less because last time we barely had the ball.”
“We worked to be pressing slightly higher and be much more aggressive,” said Miquel.
Since Miquel’s appointment in July, Leicester have had a difficult start to the season, winning a single game in all competitions to this point.
Miquel said that Sunday’s game was an indication of what to anticipate from her side.
“When the whole team is on the same rhythm and is coordinated, it makes it harder for the opponent.”
“It’s been taking us long, we didn’t have the start of the season we wanted from the first few results, sometimes in football too have to be patient, then it will come.”
