Dario Vidosic, the Brighton women’s manager emphasized the importance of controlling games; to get the result they want. He said in the post-match press conference, “there are a few things we can improve, but that’s just part of our journey – in trying to get to perfection”, giving an encouraging response to his team’s 3-2 win against West Ham.
“Fantastic response off the back of the last game” Vidosic said, after Brighton’s 5-0 defeat to Arsenal the previous match week. He looks to continue to improve every week, as his side turn their attention to their upcoming League game against Leicester.
For the hammers, it was an unlucky result after pulling back two goals in the second half. West Ham manager, Rehanne Skinner, was frustrated at her side’s loss this afternoon, but was appreciative of the efforts of her players. She said, “I’m really proud and pleased with everything they put in today – and they showed great character to come back from two nil down”.
She said “we were the better team in front of goal in the second half” but the lack of clinical finishing prevented her side from their well-deserved point.
Both managers had words of encouragement for their side and the opposition in a tight matchup, that ended 3-2 in Brighton’s favour at the Amex.
