Rob Cross defeated Luke Humphries, six legs to four, after winning four of them back-to-back in the Brighton Premier League Darts, night five, quarter-final tonight.

Luke Humphries was winning by two legs, 4-2, but Cross showed his class and won the following four legs to earn his victory over Humphries to move on to the semi-finals.

Humphries hit a nine-dart finish to earn his fourth leg tonight, but even after this, Cross used his claimed favourite technique, to initialise his comeback, hitting a double 18.

Cross hit eight 180s also tonight, giving him an average of 111.19.

Humphries secured a narrow victory against Cross last week in Exeter, but could not hold out his lead tonight, giving Luke Littler a chance to gain some ground. He faces Michael Van Gerwen in the semi-finals tonight.

Cross will face the winner of Nathan Aspinall v Stephen Bunting.
